Tianjin Harbor Industrial Park is a national-level petrochemical base planned by the State Development and Reform Commission and one of the key development areas of Tianjin and Tianjin Binhai New Area in the Eleventh Five-Year Plan. It is the core part of Chemical Industrial Park, and Harbor Industry Area of Tianjin Binhai New Area as well. |
The construction area under the overall planning of Harbor Industrial Park is about 80 km2, of which 22 km2 is for phase I. Its development target is to become a significant state chemical base, a ship building & repairing base and an equipment manufacturing base. Meanwhile, it will become to a port logistics base and a R&D transformation base and finally develops to be an Offshore Industrial New City. Presently, Harbor Industrial Park has totally completed the construction scale of RMB 4 billion, land reclamation of 18 km2 and investment of RMB 120 billion. Projects of LG, Air Liquide Co., Ltd (France), Tianjin Soda Plant, Dagu Chemical Plant and China Chemical Industry, etc. have been constructed in the Park. Petrol China and China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, etc.
have expressed investment intention. Harbor Industrial Park has become the hot land on which businessmen home and abroad put investment as well as a bright spot, hotspot and emphasis of development in Tianjin Binhai New Area. Significant state chemical base has shown its outline and a brand new economic growth pole of Tianjin is rising.
