| Introduction of Tianjin Harbor Industrial Park |
Tianjin Harbor Industrial Park is located in the tidal-flat area of south estuary of Haihe River, it is the core zone of Binhai New Area, east is adjacent to Bohai Bay, north is next to the estuary of Haihe River, Haibin Road is in the west and Jinjin Highway is in the south, where is only 15km away from Tanggu downtown, 50km away from Tianjin city and 160km away from Beijing. 
Tianjin Harbor Industrial Park is a piece of land formed through reclaiming fields from the sea and functioned as an integration of port and industry. The park is “an Eco-Industrial Park in northern China featured with heavy equipment manufacturing” as well as the important functional zone in Binhai New Area and a state-level demonstration zone of recycling economy. The planned area of first phase is about 80km2, it is to be built as a heavy equipment manufacturing base featured by large locomotive, crane and mining machinery, a “big dock” ship-building base as well as a “large grain & oil” industry cluster. Today’s Harbor Industrial Park has become the largest industrial zone, the most eye-catching developing areas and the most attractive places in Tianjin, where attracted many well-known large enterprise groups home and abroad to gather and settle here. Now we could say as it were, a brand-new economic growth pole is emerging rapidly in Tianjin.
A prosperous modern city. The outstanding staff of the Park assumes the mission and adheres to the concept---Hard work, Be advanced, Good faith, Win-win to construct the park. For the short five years, the staff completed 300,000,000 m3 pumping & filling earth and 50km2 lands with assiduously work, changed the desolate tidal-flat into a investing and developing land. Up to now, the investment projects from overseas reach to 66 with total investments of over 130 billion Yuan, which include 8 world top 500 enterprises, 4 projects with more than ten-billion Yuan respectively and 11 projects have been put into production, 22 projects have been in construction, 33 projects have signed contract and been constructed. After about another 10-year’s development and construction, the Harbor Industrial Park will be built as a new industrial city with annually 800 billion Yuan industrial output value, a key ship-channel with the carrying capacity of 250,000 dwt and a new port with annual handling capacity of over 100 million tons. 
A well-equipped industrial city. Tianjin Harbor Industrial Park regards world-class industrial park as its construction standard. The projects construction of land reclamation from the sea, infrastructure, public works and social service are conducted simultaneously. The park will be built into a complete-functions industrial city with all-around traffic network and well-established supporting facilities, which will build a smooth and convenient platform for human resources, logistics, funds, information and business. The main construction items are: one port, one zone, one park and six bases:
One port refers to the second deepwater port in Tianjin. Presently, the waterway grade has reached to 50,000dwt and the water depth is -12.5m; by 2011, the waterway grade will reach to 100,000dwt, water depth is -15m and furthermore form a traffic network integrates waterway, railway, road and pipeline, all which will minimize costs and reduce emission.
One zone refers to landscaping greenbelt. The Harbor plans to build a landscaping greenbelt with 1000m wide and 8km long, of which the zone of first phase with 500m wide and 4km long has been completed. The greenbelt formed an ecological shelter for industrial park, living area of 3 kilometers beyond the Park and city center of 10 kilometers beyond the Park.
One park refers to public engineering park. To build a public engineering park integrates water, electricity, gas, steam, industrial gas, sewage treatment and seawater desalination, which provided the enterprises with the well-established public supporting facilities. 
Six bases include: ship-building, marine engineering and heavy equipment manufacturing base including sea and land transportation, marine engineering, mining machinery, hoisting crane and new energy equipment manufacturing; The largest grain and oil base in China represented by COFCO; Eco-chemical industry base represented by Tianjin Soda Plant and Dagu Chemical Industry Project, etc; Port logistics base rely on ship-channel dock and Stereoscopic traffic network; Life supporting service base represented by blue-collar apartment and neighborhood center; Research and development transformation base supported by Tsinghua University, Tianjin University, China University of Geosciences and enterprise research and development center.
An innovative and cyclic development city. Tianjin Harbor Industrial Park is committed to build it into a state-level demonstration zone of recycling economy, through scientific sea reclamation to realize win-win between marine utilization and protection as well as to realize co-existence between economic development and environment protection; through scientific planning to realize industry chain is closely linked, upstream, midstream and downstream recycling, enterprises are closely connected so as to form an effective recycling system of energy, raw materials and waste among enterprises; through port-industry integration to shorten distances, reduce turnover, energy consumption and waste discharge, achieving production cleaner, emission environmental, industry recycling, investment saving and surrounding livable. 
A safe, environmental and harmonious city. Tianjin Harbor Industrial Park strives to improve safety, environmental protection and ecological system. In the aspect of introducing enterprise, the Park implements safe and environmental system, giving priority to the development of high-tech, high investment and low pollution project. In the aspect of safety and security, the Park cooperate with Tsinghua University to implement State “863” Program, striving to build it into a state demonstration industrial park of emergency rescue system. In environmental construction, the Park built an eco-environmental protection system including sewage disposal plant, landscape river and landscape greenbelt covers 2 kilometers.
