 Convenient Traffic -- Port
Port:
Tianjin Port, situated in Tanggu region, is the biggest international trade port in  Northern China. It links more than 300 ports and over 170 countries and regions. It has more than 140 port berths and the sea-routes for the sail of vessel with tonnage of 150 thousand tons. Currently, the 200 thousand tonnage channels and port facilities are under construction. However, It is expected to operate in 2010. Tianjin Port is also a world-known trade port and serves as the major sea traffic hub linking Northern China with world.
Harbor Industrial Park, at the opposite bank facing the Tianjin Port, is one of the five major port in Tianjin. A 30km deepwater channel and 17 jetties will be specially constructed for Harbor Industrial Park, which can handle vessel tonnages in the range of 10,000 to 100,000 tons. In 2006, the 10,000 ship-tonnage channel will be opened; by 2008, the 50,000 tonnage channel (100,000 tonnage shipping transit is allowed during high tide.) will be opened with handling capacity of 12 million tons; by 2010, the 100,000 tonnage channel will be opened with handling capacity of 30 million tons; by 2013, the 200,000 tonnage channel will be opened with handling capacity up to 100 million tons.
